FOURTH GENERATION

42. Peter CARTWRIGHT was born in 1748, Va.  Peter Cartwright served as private in Col. John Gibson's regiment of Virginia Infantry, Rev War. He died in 1791, in Ky.

He was married to Christiana GARVIN on 27 Feb 1787. Christiana GARVIN was born in 1750. She died on 23 Dec 1838 in Caldwell Co, Ky. Peter CARTWRIGHT and Christiana GARVIN had the following children:

child+85 i. Peter CARTWRIGHT, Rev  was born on 1 Sep 1785, Amherst Co, Va. He died on 25 Sep 1872 near Pleasant Plains, Ill. He was a Methodist Circuit Minister.   He married Frances GAINES, 18 Aug 1808, on her 19th birthday.  Frances was born 18 Aug 1789, Va.  She died 7 Feb 1876, on a Sunday morning during church service, near Pleasant Plains, Sangamon Co, Il.  Peter and Frances are buried near Pleasant Plains.  Peter and Frances had 7 daughters, and two sons.
