18. Lizetta Cartwright was born on 31 Jan 1805 in Davidson Co., TN. She died on 23 Dec 1852 in San Augustine Co., TX. She was buried in Hobdy Cem., San Augustine Co., TX.

She was married to Joses Hobdy on 12 Mar 1822 in Davidson Co., TN. Joses Hobdy was born on 10 Nov 1797 in Northampton Co., NC. He died on 11 Jun 1853 in San Augustine Co., TX. He was buried in Hobdy Cem., San Augustine Co., TX. Joses Hobdy was granted a Spanish Land Grant in Zavala's colony 2/18/1835 located southeast of the Ayish Bayou in San Augustine Co., TX. In 1836, he enlisted in the Company of Capt. William Ratcliff. A velox copy of the grant, deed and accompanying documents is in the possession of Steve Oliver. Lizetta Cartwright and Joses Hobdy had the following children:

40 iii. Clementine Hobdy was born about 1831 in Davidson Co., TN. She died in 1856 in Grimes Co., TX. From The Central Texian, Anderson, TX, 5/30/1856:

Administrator's Notice. The undersigned having been appointed by the Honorable County Court in and for the County of Grimes at the March term thereof, A.D. 1856. Administrator of the estate of Clementine Hobdy, deceased, notice is hereby given to all persons indebted to said estate
to make payment to the undersigned Administrator immediately. And all persons having claims against said estate will present them, duly authenticated within the time prescribed by law or they will be forever barred.

42 v. Tabitha Hobdy was born about 1836 in San Augustine Co., TX. She died in San Augustine Co., TX. She was married to G. W. Robbins in 1859 in San Augustine Co., TX.

44 vii. Edmund Hobdy was born on 14 Feb 1845 in San Augustine, San Augustine Co., TX. He died on 15 Mar 1908 in Grimes Co., TX. He was buried in Apolonia Cemetery, Grimes Co., TX.
45 viii. Robert Hobdy was born about 1846.
