Georgia 1860 Mortality Schedule (Ronald Vern Jackson, copyright 1986) lists a Joseph Cartwright, who died in Carroll Co. at the age of 47, Oct. 1860, of "cramps." Birthplace listed as Tennessee; occupation farmer. If this is the same person, then his age at the time of death was listed incorrectly, or the approximate birth date previously supplied was incorrect.

He was married to Eliza Hope DANE (daughter of George DANE) on 19 Jan 1843 in Carroll Co., GA. Eliza Hope DANE was born on 25 Oct 1823. She died on 12 Feb 1907 in Gumlog, Pope Co, Ar.

28 vi. Mahaly/Mahaler J. CARTWRIGHT was born about 1855 in Carroll Co, Ga.
29 vii. Thomas Baskin CARTWRIGHT was born in 1858 in Carroll Co, Ga. He died in 1933. He was married to Nancy Drixisla SMITH.
30 viii. Eliza Jane CARTWRIGHT was born in 1859 in Carroll Co, Ga. She died in 1925. She was married to Oze WILSON; 3 children, names unknown.
