He married Margaret BURROUGHS (daughter of John and Mary Burroughs). John CARTWRIGHT and Margaret BURROUGHS had the following children:

8 ii. William CARTWRIGHT died in Jan 1755, St Mary's Co, Md.  He married Dorothy KEETCH.
+9 iii. Matthew CARTWRIGHT.
